HESS CASE STUDY: ARTIC

October 30, 2015

Located in the heart of Southern California, the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) is an iconic transportation hub, offering convenient transit, dining, retail and entertainment. The contemporary $185 million dollar LEED Platinum facility lays the groundwork for California’s long intended high speed rail network while its unique multi-use facility sets itself apart from traditional transportation venues.

Featured below are Hess’ City Elements columns that guide travelers to the terminal. These eight 30′ columns prominently line the main promenade leading to the facility entrance. These impressive columns not only provide the necessary lighting needed for the area but also complements the signature arch of the terminal.

Top elements with 360° cylindrical lenses are lamped with 150w ceramic metal halide sources to bathe the area in warm white illumination. Shorter twenty foot columns configured with single illuminating top elements are installed in the surrounding areas to provide general site lighting for safety and security.
